The Austin Shambhala Center is a non-profit organization that depends entirely upon tuition, membership, donations, and the energy of many volunteers. Our overhead increases annually due to cost of living and ever expanding offerings. We truly appreciate your extending your generosity as far as possible.
At the same time, it is our sincere wish that no one be prevented from participating in programs due to financial hardship. Therefore our Generosity Policy supports individuals who need to "pay what they can". We also encourage those with the means to consider offering more than the recommended tuition.
Generosity can be expressed in many ways, for example:
· Pledging a regular monthly donation as a member or a supporting friend
· Paying generously what one can afford to attend classes and programs
· Making contributions of any size in the donation box or for special fund campaigns
· Volunteering at the Center
If you are not able to pay a suggested tuition, we will be happy to accommodate your specific situation. Various options are available, such as spreading out payments or a reduction in cost if necessary. Please discuss special needs prior to the program with the program coordinator listed in the class description.
Thank you for your support.
