Please join us for a week-long retreat of deep practice, dharma discussions and a culture of kindness and community - at our annual South Central Regional Weekthün.
In the beautiful retreat environment of The Margaret Austin Center in Chappell Hill, Texas (, you will have time to step back and reflect while pursuing your personal practice. The basis of the retreat will be Shambhala Meditation and together we will cultivate its three stages: feeling, being and touching.
Our daily schedule will include periods of formal meditation practice, daily chants, and a dharma talk and discussion. We will eat our meals in the shrine room in the style of Oryoki ( Everyone will have a Rota assignment to help keep our environment clean and uplifted. And there will be time for work, study and/or rest.
We are delighted to have Shastri Betsy Pond and Shastri Larry Higgins lead our retreat this year!

In 2010 Shastri Pond was invited to fill the role of Shastri in San Antonio.
Shastri Larry Higgins became involved with Shambhala in April, 1987. He has been a psychotherapist for 31+ years and has four grandchildren.
