Ongoing Community Programs
Please support our center with a $10 suggested donation for the following ongoing programs:
Conversations About Buddhism
Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 PM
A popular weekly ongoing discussion about all things Buddhist. Open to everyone, this class is a discussion group led by a teacher/facilitator. All are welcome to join in at any time during the course of the program. For more information contact Diane Irwin.
The Austin Shambhala Book Group
Please check calendar for dates and times.
The Austin Shambhala book group will use texts as the ground from which to consider concepts and contemplate how they are at play in our everyday lives. We’ll do the reading outside of meetings (see updates for each month’s book and reading). Come with any passages or ideas you’d like to explore with the group. For further information please contact Sonya Feher.
Heart of Recovery
Mondays 7-8 PM
We welcome all Twelve Step participants (AA, NA, Al-Anon, OA, SLAA, etc.) who have an interest in combining the principles of their program of recovery with Buddhist teachings and practices. This is a peer support group. We begin with a 20 minute meditation followed by open sharing. For more information contact Ian Cousins.
LGBT Dharma Group
Austin LGBT Dharma Group is a Buddhist-oriented group whose purpose is to provide a gay/lesbian/transgender-friendly environment for dharma study. For full details please our web page. This group is currently on hiatus.
